What is Voice Disorder?

Vocal disorder is a deviation of speech during speech, which is sometimes caused by organic or non-organic lesions and sometimes by abusing voice (inappropriate voice, intensity, tone and reverberation).

What are the symptoms?

The vocal disorder occurs by contraction of various larynx muscles, as the pulse mode of the vocal cords is altered. They alter either the vocal height, or the vocal fluctuations of the prose, or the intensity of the voice.

The age of 8 is the most critical for children, as it is the most common period of treatment for such disorders.

What does the Speech Therapist do

Before we begin our therapy, the speech therapist takes the medical and social history of the person to follow the appropriate treatment that will lead to immediate rehabilitation.
