Autism is a serious developmental disorder, characterized by reduced social interaction and communication, as well as by limited, repetitive and stereotyped behavior. In the autism disorder, various brain structures are involved in a way that has not been sufficiently elucidated. The other two autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are Asperger syndrome and Extended Development Disorder – Not otherwise specified (PDD-NOS).
The sooner autism is diagnosed and the appropriate treatment is set, the better because of the modern practices, the child can live an almost normal life.
